Summary/Abstract: The electrolysis of water is an experiment studied in chemistry and physics education across different grades and stages, with each level emphasizing various aspects of the process. This article presents two methods for demonstrating the process of water electrolysis that can be integrated into the teaching of chemistry and physics, taking into account the different levels of the educational process. Through an analysis of curricula and textbooks, the paper discusses in which grades and on which topics this demonstration experiment is most appropriately applied. Water electrolysis provides a clear and visual way to demonstrate the interdisciplinary connections between physics and chemistry, as well as key concepts from the curriculum. Several easy-to-perform versions of the experiment are proposed, using simple and inexpensive apparatus that can be found in a standard school laboratory or store. The goal is to make the experiment accessible to teachers so that it can be applied under various teaching conditions. The article discusses different demonstration options using various electrodes and electrolytes, which allow for a deeper understanding of the electrochemical processes related to different aspects of the educational material. By appropriately integrating the experiment into the curriculum, students will be able to better understand complex theoretical concepts and connect them with practical observations.
