Summary/Abstract: The article examines the ways of editing medieval Cyrillic texts from the perspective of the treatment of abbreviations. Two types of editing have been used in practice: diplomatic editing, where abbreviations are left unresolved, and the second type, typical of the more recent Serbian philology, where abbreviations are resolved. The paper offers a classification of abbreviations, supported by typical examples.
