Summary/Abstract: Strategic management literature explains how firms achieve competitive advantage through the functions of planning, organizing, implementing, and controlling. However, today’s business environment requires mechanisms that go beyond these four functions. This study discusses the importance of complementing the classical management cycle with coordination and feedback processes for strategic success. Coordination is addressed as an integrative mechanism that enables internal units and external stakeholders to act in alignment with strategic objectives. Feedback is conceptualized as a learning loop that transfers information obtained from internal and external environments into decision-making processes, allowing for performance evaluation and the revision of strategy when necessary. Through the example of Ford Motor Company, the study explains how coordination supports strategic recovery under crisis conditions. The Netflix case illustrates how continuous and transparent feedback strengthens employee development and organizational agility. Overall, the study demonstrates that systematically integrating coordination and feedback into the strategic management cycle supports organizations in becoming more flexible, learning-oriented, and sustainably successful.
