Summary/Abstract: The developments following the Syrian civil war have significantly affected Türkiye, subjecting it to a massive influx of irregular migrants. Since 2011 Türkiye's policy towards Syrian migrants has been an "open door" policy. This study aims to identify the changes in Türkiye's migration policy resulting from the effects of Syrian civil war. Türkiye, facing this influx of migrants, has been forced to make changes to its migration policy in order to cope with the situation. There have been debates about what measures should be taken in response to the influx of Syrians into Türkiye. This study, which examines the policies implemented by Türkiye in response to this migration influx and the ongoing nature of this issue, will contribute to academic works in the field by providing clarity on these debates.
