Summary/Abstract: At global level, society is going through an important moment in its historical development, namely the step-by-step abandonment of the old way of interacting with public authorities, by physically going to the institutions’ office and accepting remote means of communication. This means that people are open to change, they know how to use a device to help them and this is usually a mobile phone or a computer connected to the internet. Traditionally, the doctrine of administrative law operates with concepts such as: public interest, public service, public power regime etc. Nowadays, however, in the context of digitalisation, new terms have entered the collective mind that do not necessarily belong to the field of administrative law but intersect with it: digital identity, digital identification, electronic means. The global trend is that in the near future administrative procedures will be online. Therefore, in this light, the paper aims to analyse the regulatory framework applicable to new technologies in administration, in an interdisciplinary analysis, starting from administrative law.
