Summary/Abstract: Digital development of dental manufacturing is supported by the expansion of robotic workstations with advanced sensor monitoring. This article compares traditional local sensors with IoT multi-sensor architectures in a dental manufacturing environment with high precision requirements. Vibration, temperature, optical, force and environmental sensors are evaluated in terms of integration, diagnostic capability and support for predictive maintenance. The results demonstrated that an IoT architecture with edge processing and integration into platforms such as ThingWorx enables centralised data management, multi-parameter analysis and greater process traceability, thereby laying the foundation for smart dental workstations.
