RENEWABLE RESOURCES MARKET CHALLENGES FROM A COMPETITIVE PERSPECTIVE

Summary/Abstract: A major objective for many investors and entrepreneurs is to identify funding sources and invest in renewable energy projects using modern generation technologies. Such decisions are difficult, as business operators face multiple challenges related to legislation, innovation‑oriented management, complex technical information, and interaction with local public authorities in order to obtain specific permits. The business environment is characterized by intense competition; therefore, interest in improving business efficiency is constantly present at the decision‑making level. In this context, the role of the legislature and of competent authorities in various fields is to ensure a normal, healthy, and competitive environment adapted to current requirements. From this perspective, the present study analyses the challenges faced by the entrepreneurial environment, identifying both general and common issues, as well as particularities related to relations with local public authorities, which may lead to different conditions and obligations, generating competitive discrimination.
