Summary/Abstract: This interview with Árpád Barabás, artistic director of the Tomcsa Sándor Theatre, examines the institutional crisis that has arisen in the wake of the energy efficiency renovation of the building that houses the theatre in Odorheiu Secuiesc. They discuss the operational challenges that affected season planning and the season ticket system as a result of the delay in handing over the promised temporary venue and the lack of a permanent rehearsal room. The interview details the adaptation strategies of the company, with a particular focus on alternative venues, interinstitutional cooperation, and the role of external assistance. At the same time, the interview provides a vivid picture of the fragility of the Hungarian theatre infrastructure in Romania, as well as of the professional commitment of an artist community.
