Summary/Abstract: The Light-Life Movement, founded by Fr. Franciszek Blachnicki, has a strong liturgical renewal trait and emphasizes the development of the attitude of a mature Christian. It also has many references to Mariology. The article attempts to show the sources of the deep relationship to the Mother of the Savior, from which its founder drew: the Mariological thought of Matthias Joseph Scheeben, the person and thought of St. Maximilian Kolbe, the teaching of the Second Vatican Council (Dogmatic Constitution on the Church “Lumen gentium”) and the Apostolic Exhortation of Paul VI Marialis cultus. The study also presents the „practical” application of Fr. Blachnicki’s Mariology in the Light-Life Movement, expressed, for example, in the Constitutive Act of the Movement. The members of the Movement call Mary Immaculate, the Mother of the Church, to Her they entrust their formation and the entire work of the Oasis. They strive to become a New Man, who is focused on possessing himself in giving himself.
