Summary/Abstract: This text presents a review by Protos. Ioan Popoiu of the hagiographic volume "Models across centuries: Other saints of the German space," authored by Fr. Alexandru Nan. As a sequel to a previous work from 2017, the book comprehensively details the lives and historical contexts of 26 saints from the German region. Featuring a preface by Metropolitan Serafim, the volume emphasizes the profound spiritual continuity between Eastern and Western Christianity. Furthermore, the author advocates for the active veneration of these saints to combat modern secularization and preserve European Christian identity. Ultimately, it is highly recommended as a valuable resource for exploring Orthodox spirituality.
