Summary/Abstract: As a noted Serbian historian and an Orthodox theologian, Radoslav Grujić was a convenient organizer for Yugoslav national affairs in so-called Southern Serbia. He was one of those who established Faculty of Philosophy in Skopje in 1920. A few years later, when he appeared a founder of Skopje Scientific Society and Museum of South Serbia, one could say it was an overt attempt in proving the Serbian character of Macedonia. After the Second World War ended Grujić was expeled from the Belgrade University by Court of Honor, in spite of his sincere commitment to science and the state. His national and educational engagement from 1920 to 1937 resulted in initiation of higher education in Skopje, but also preserving the archaeological heritage in Vardar Macedonia between the two world wars.
