Summary/Abstract: In the New Testament, Pentecost takes on a new meaning; it is the beginning of the work of the Comforter whom the Son promised to send into the world. Through him the Church is constituted, and we are introduced into the age to come, characterized by a new dimension of human life which is enriched and imbued with the grace of the Holy Spirit. We continued with an exposition of the history of the development of this feast in the Eastern liturgical tradition, highlighting the testimonies of the Holy Fathers concerning the development of this feast throughout the early Christian centuries. The Pentecost event is the moment in which the Trinity pneumatically punctuates history, underlining and fulfilling the intimacy of the metaphysical relationship with the human, plunging into the being the uncreated divine energy that heals the wounds of sin that cause the death of the soul. This presence remains unique and unrepeatable in the history of salvation, humanity being, at the same time, dependent on the Paraclete - Who assumes time by softening it, in a holy, redemptive breath, up to the Eschaton.
