Summary/Abstract: According to the data of occupation and colaborationist police and security structures, communist resistance movement, from July 1941 until September 1942, carried out 81 armed actions and sabotages. In two methodically different phases of struggle against occupiers in Belgrade, the Communist Party of Yugoslavia coud not implement projected goals. Military strength, preventive and represive measures of the occupier, lack of military equipment and trained men were the insurmountable obstacles for fulfilling the planned missions. The Communist Party of Yugoslavia, since transition to illegal, asked its members to struggle without compromise not paying attention to current cicumstances. On the example of armed actions carried out in Belgrade we can conclude that the Communist Party of Yugoslavia held a stand during the first and second year of occupation: strategy wait and see, until the end of the World War II, will not be distinctive for the members of this resistance movement.
