Summary/Abstract: In the national and international cultural landscape, a special place is occupied by the intangible cultural heritage and the implementation of measures to rescue, preserve, protect and transmit it, in accordance with the 2003 UNESCO Convention. Intangible heritage requires a systemic approach, of the whole, materialised in elements, community, context, performance, transmission, all in an interdependent relationship. At the national level, the Living Human Treasures Program enjoys special attention, the mandatory nature of which was eliminated by UNESCO, but which has wide popularity in Romania, being a strategic programme of the Ministry of Culture. Of the honorary titles Living Human Treasures, three belong to bearers, performers, creators and transmitters of the cultural heritage from Țara Oașului: Floare Finta (2012), Gheza Istvanfi (2022) and Viorica Puți (2024).
