Summary/Abstract: Two copies of Metropolitan Cyprian’s Sermon, an erotapokritic literary work, previously known only from one copy from the beginning of the 16th century, are introduced into scientific circulation. The new copies, from the second quarter of the 16th and the turn of the 16th – 17th centuries, represent a different version of the text: abridged compared to the previously known one. However, the abridged version retains a fragment that most probably was in the original message – it is devoted to a more detailed description of the rules for serving the liturgy of Basil the Great. The abridged version could have appeared during the preparation of a special canonical collection consisting of 140 chapters, where Cyprian’s Sermon was divided into two articles (chapters 138 and 139 of the collection).
