Retractable type fall arresters and their cooperation with flexible anchor points

Summary/Abstract: The article discusses issues related to the use of retractable type fall arresters as fall protection equipment. They are among one ofthe of the most commonly used components of individual systems designed to protect the employee and stop their fall. The essenceof the operation of these devices is to allow the user to move freely mainly in the vertical direction, and in the situation of loss ofcontact with the workstation to safely stop his fall. In addition, selected designs of such devices and problems that may occur whenworking with flexible anchor points and when working horizontally are described, and original models of retractable type fall arrestersdesigned to work with this type of anchor components are presented.
