How to Pronounce Njegoš’s Works?

Summary/Abstract: The author of the paper presents and elaborates an idea of preparing and printing an accented edition of Njegoš’s most important works of literature – those written by using spoken language, i.e. the Zeta dialect (old Montenegrin) – that would respect the original prosodic system, to be used on stage, on film, in recitals, etc. This would require a broader agreement among academic community and distinguished representatives of cultural life, as well as elaborate preparations. A considerable part of the paper is devoted to building sound foundation for the successful and appropriate completion of this endeavour.
