Summary/Abstract: The paper describes the types of editions of Njegoš’s works, types of textological notes and the content of monographs on the textology of a specific work and the nature of the lexicons of individual Njegoš’s works. All editions are divided into critical, accentual and basic. A critical or scientific edition has additional specific orthographic or orthoepic graphemes. Graphemes ѣ and й are used orthographically next to the subsequent length mark (which indicates a diphthong). Prosodic reconstruction is given only in square brackets and orthoepically vowel graphemes are used for non-syllabic vowels, the consonant grapheme щ, the grapheme for non-syllabic r and an exponent for non-syllabic vowels and consonants with a weak pronunciation. An accentual edition is also versological – it indicates caesura and a border between the second and third bars in an asymmetrical decasyllable. A basic edition is essentially a scientific-popular edition. Accent, length and shortness of a vowel are placed in the text selectively while the raised mark for length without the accent indicates a diphthong pronunciation. Diphthongs are also indicated by an apostrophe or an apostrophe in a combination with iota. The paper is primarily based on Njegoš’s epic trilogy (the epic “The Ray of the Microcosm”, the epic “The Mountain Wreath”, the epic “Stephen the Little”), poems from the Notebook, Spiritual Legacy and on the poem A night more precious than a century.
