Summary/Abstract: Although it is a young military organization with actions of great consequences for the Serbian people on Kosovo and Metohija, Serbian historiography did not give a serious clue about The So-called “Kosovo Liberation Army”. On the contrary, Albanian historiography considers this issue as one of the dominant topics. There are more than a hundred titles of the most diverse types and contents, published in continuity from 1998. The main publishing centers are the cities with the largest Albanian population – Tirana and Pristina, as well as cultural centers with the old tradition. Albanian historiography points to the genocide (Holocaust) that the Serbian authorities have been making since 1912, and especially after the arrival of Slobodan Milošević. This is precisely why the leaders (conceptual and military) of the KLA are glorified in the existing literature. The activities of this guerrilla organization (battles, operations) were also uncritically considered, because the KLA was defeated in war. It was specially insisted that NATO joined its struggle to prevent a “humanitarian catastrophe”; also, the help (soldiers, officers, weapons, terrain, etc.) from neighbouring Albania was researched. Judging by the headlines, the topic of the greatest interest for the Serbian people – the war crimes committed by KLA – was not the popular subject in Albanian historiography.
