Summary/Abstract: During the time that the Patriarch Rajačić had spent in Vienna in 1850, a Board was formed by Major General Ferdinand Maierhofer, the chief of the Serbian Voivodeship and Tamiš Banate at that time. The aim was to transfer (take away) all acts, i.e. the archive of the Chief Board of Serbian Voivodeship kept from 1848 to 1849, from Karlovci to Timisoara, where its headquarters used to be. Due to activities and the persistance of Đorđe St. Bekić, people-church archivist in Karlovci, as well as the support and understanding of the Patriarch Georgije Branković, the archive was brought back to Karlovci, where it is still kept today.
