MOMČILO KOVAČEVIĆ’S DRAMA WORLD

Summary/Abstract: The paper mentions the poetic and dramaturgical peculiarities of Momčilo Kovačević’s drama creativity, known under the pseudonym Leon Kovke. A broader analytical overview of the dramatic texts collected in the book Six Dramas was presented. Attention is devoted to diverse and unusual dramatic worlds, leading thematic-motive choices, layers of meaning that are hidden in the construction of the action and plot, and especially in the conceptualization of the characters. Genre specificities were analyzed and intertextual connections with the works of famous predecessors (Sterija, Nušić, Ibzen) were pointed out. The dramaturgy of th“ ese plays was analyzed, as well as the technique of epitization, which is an important factor in shaping and presenting the stage world.
