Summary/Abstract: This article analyses the ways in which Vindex and Galba used coinage as a medium of political propaganda during the revolt of 68 AD. It investigates how numismatic imagery—symbols, deities, and inscriptions—was used to influence the Senate, the army, and the Roman populace, to undermine Nero's legitimacy, and to bolster Galba's claim to power. These strategies are examined within the broader context of the collapse of the Julio-Claudian dynasty.
