Serbs in Slovenia

Summary/Abstract: Serbs in Slovenia represent an allochtonous minority community whose members originate from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro and Croatia. Only a couple of dozen Serbs originate from the autochthon Serbian community that populates Bela krajina. Results of the Public censuses from 1991 and 2002 give a lot of data from which conclusions about the status of the Serbian community in Slovenia will be drawn.
