Summary/Abstract: In this paper we present unpublished material regarding Yugoslav position during October 1973 War. After World War Two, Yugoslav diplomacy entered the Middle East. Although it advocated pro-Soviet and pro-East European positions on Middle East affairs, after Tito-Stalin split in 1948, socialist Yugoslavia changed its view on Arab-Israeli conflict. Looking for its own benefits in Middle East, during mid-50s Yugoslavia started to change positions and aligned with Arab countries regarding conflict with Israel. In the eve of October 1973 War and détente between USA and USSR, Yugoslavia sought to take important role in the Arab-Israeli conflict and to strengthen its position in Arab world by aligning itself on their side and criticizing Israel and its allies. Based on the newer bibliography regarding Arab-Israeli conflict, original text of the document will be preceded by introduction regarding events leading to October 1973 War with explanations of positions of superpowers and Yugoslavia.
