Summary/Abstract: Book Review: Maria Dobríková (ed.): 100. výročie bratislavskej polonistiky. Univerzita Komenského v Bratislave, Bratislava, 2024. 374 s. ISBN 978-80-223-5893-4. The volume celebrates the centenary of Polish studies at the Faculty of Arts, Comenius University in Bratislava and includes papers from the international scholarly conference held in November 2024. The contributions focus on Polish-Slavic linguistic and literary relations as well as intercultural communication. Scholars from Slovakia, Poland, Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, and North Macedonia are represented. The volume is divided into three thematic sections that reflect not only Polish-Slovak and Polish-Czech interactions but also extend to the South Slavic area. The first section maps the history, present, and perspectives of Polish studies in various Slavic countries, highlighting key figures and institutional developments. The second section presents studies on interlingual relations and methodological issues in language contact and teaching. The final section offers literary and cultural analyses within the Polish-Slavic context. Together, these papers provide a unique insight into the history and current research directions of Polish studies in the Slavic academic world.
