Summary/Abstract: Book Review:Ласка Ласкова. Предложните изрази в българския език (Деадвербиални комитативни предложни изрази). София. Университетско издателство„Св. Климент Охридски“, 2024, 374 с. ISBN 978-619-7785-02-9 (pdf). This monograph distinguishes itself through its conceptual integrity and innovative perspective in examining prepositional expressions (PEs) in the Bulgarian language. Defined by the author as a “fuzzy set” due to their transitional status between syntactic phrases and compound lexemes, these expressions are subjected to a comprehensive network of diagnostic procedures aimed at determining the grammatical status of over 200 PEs. Particular attention is devoted to deadverbial comitative constructions – an understudied and theoretically challenging domain. The processes of lexicalization are explored with exceptional rigor and coherence. Beyond its substantial contribution to morphology, syntax, and semantics, the work offers valuable applied insights for lexicographic and codification practices.
