Summary/Abstract: Book Review:Константин Куцаров. Теоретични аспекти на звателната форма. Мор- фологична категория апелативност. Пловдив: УИ „Паисий Хилендарски“, 2024. 135 с. ISBN 978-619-202-931-9. The author develops in detail his thesis that modern Bulgarian has a morphological category appellative, based on the binary opposition vocative – non-vocative. The category is inherent to nouns, along with the categories of gender, number and definiteness–indefiniteness. The category is characterized by defectiveness in relation to neuter nouns and all plural nouns, and by the partial obligatoriness of its grammatical meaning, because a form of address can also be expressed by unmarked member of the category, by hypocoristics, by other diminutives, etc.
