Summary/Abstract: This study explores the central role of Christian love in the theology and spiritual vision of Saint Dumitru Stăniloae, one of the most influential Orthodox thinkers of the twentieth century. Recognized as a “theologian of divine love,” Stăniloae understands love as the very structure of the Holy Trinity and the creative foundation of all existence. His writings emphasize the person as a unique being called to communion, not isolation, and affirm that only love can transform human life and heal the world. Through his deep engagement with the Fathers of the Church, Stăniloae presents love as both divine gift and human vocation, revealing that true knowledge of God is inseparable from prayer, personal transformation, and openness toward others. His life and work remain a model of spiritual authenticity, showing that the path to eternal life is rooted in the experience of God’s love and in the communion it creates.
