Summary/Abstract: The article analyzes the poetic images contained in the wartime works of Maria Pawlikowska-Jasnorzewska, through which the lyrical persona returns home to the space of human and non-human nature. The safe home is embodied in the memory by turning to the natural details associated with Krakow. The author focuses on aquatic and terrestrial imagery, which not only reminds the lyrical persona of the natural and cultural landscape of his hometown, but at the same time allows this poetry to be treated as an exercise to search for hope.
