Summary/Abstract: Anthropological interest in Traditional Ecological Knowledge allows for reinterpretations of Polish folk tales and the figure of the „płanetnik” (cloud shepherd) appearing in them. The article is an attempt to look at his ontology, competences and way of acting as manifestations of animistic thinking about the world - a network (craftwork) of connections between human and non-human beings.
