Summary/Abstract: The emergence of artificial intelligence (AI) marks not merely a technical milestone but a profound transformation in the way we understand ourselves. Far from being a neutral tool, AI is shaping new ways of thinking, acting, and relating, and raises questions that reach the very core of philosophical inquiry. This paper examines, from a personalist perspective, how this emerging technology impacts key areas of philosophy such as anthropology, metaphysics, and ethics. Starting from the distinction between narrow and strong AI, it explores their implications for consciousness, responsibility, and the concept of personhood. Against the backdrop of scientific and technological enthusiasm, the article emphasizes the urgent need for a philosophy of AI that safeguards the dignity and central value of the human person. The proposed approach draws on both classical and contemporary philosophical traditions—particularly personalism—as a path to protect human dignity in a world increasingly shaped by algorithmic logic. Only a comprehensive understanding of the human being and the recognition of the person's centrality will allow for an ethical and truly humanizing development of AI.
