Summary/Abstract: The text presents psychoanalytic psychotherapeutic work over 11 years with a child who has developmental difficulties and with his parents. The need to create a therapeutic alliance with the parents is illustrated and how this could happen in order to provide space for the child's progress. Moments that are risky in the psychotherapeutic process are identified, as well as the need for time to weave family secrets and dramatic circumstances from the family history into the subject's history are identified.
