Summary/Abstract: Since the beginning of the 21st century, the medical services market has been undergoing a process of digital innovation, contributing to its improved performance. The growing demand for healthcare services further motivates decision-makers to adopt technologies that facilitate patient access to digital healthcare services — referred to both globally and in Poland as the e-health tools. This article aims to present the results of an analysis of regional disparities both in Poland and internationally in the use of e-health services, self-assessed usefulness of e-health tools, and perceived advantages, disadvantages as well as risks of using the e-health system. As part of a multi-centre project, a questionnaire-based study titled "Patient Behaviors in the E-Health Market" was conducted at the end of 2023. Its purpose was to compare the application of e-health tools in selected European countries and to identify the level of acceptance and barriers to implementation. The study included 3,500 respondents from Finland, Estonia, Spain, and Poland).
