Summary/Abstract: The Jesuit college in Krasnystaw was not among the leading educational institutions in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, and its theatre has not enjoyed the attention of researchers (whether literary scholars or theatre historians). Filling this gap, the article presents the history of the Krasnystaw college theatre. Based on available sources (mainly a handwritten codex, which has not been used by scholars to date), the author discusses the themes and authorship of the plays and addresses the occasional nature of the performances. She describes selected structural aspects of the plays (their construction, characters). She attempts to reconstruct elements of the stage production which have been used according to the sources. She applies analytical, semiotic, and structural methods.
