Summary/Abstract: During the Cold War, like any other communist country, People's Republic of Romania attempted, by different means, to demonstrate to other countries that its political regime was ideal, aiming at modernisation and development. In relation to the propagation of the regime in India, this thing was made by the press, culture and interstate visits, meant to show how open, welcoming it was and how many benefits the establishment of the communist regime had brought. The purpose of this work is to offer a historical-analytic insight into the methods by which the communists attempted to emphasize that, once communism was established, the People's Republic of Romania became an ideal country. As methodology, we chose research and analysis of documents from the Archive of the Ministry of the Foreign Affairs of Romania, holdings Post-war India. Discovering the obtained information, we can conclude that the press, the sectors subordinated to the Romanian Embassy from New Delhi, the cultural activities and interstate visits had a practical role: of showing the post-war world that the regime in power in Romania was the best way, careful with the needs of the people and focused on economic development.
