Summary/Abstract: This article examines project success in the energy sector by integrating institutional analysis, risk management, and critical success factors. Based on a review of scientific literature, a conceptual model for energy project management is developed, tailored to the specific requirements of the energy transition and European policies. The results indicate that project success in the energy sector cannot be evaluated solely by traditional indicators such as time, cost, and scope. Institutional stability, strategic alignment with energy policies, stakeholder management, and the adaptive capacity of project organizations play crucial roles. This article contributes to the scientific literature by proposing an analytical framework applicable to both academic research and practical energy project management.
