Summary/Abstract: How do young adults of Yugoslavian origin in Germany negotiate their experiences of discrimination? This article, which is based on conducting and analysing biographical-narrative interviews, is dedicated to this question. Particular attention is paid to the feelings of not belonging frequently articulated by the interviewees. They harbour these feelings not only towards the white-German majority society, but also towards their parents, their community or other (post‐)migrant groups. By analysing the specific initial conditions and experiences of discrimination of the interviewees as well as past and current (anti‐)racist discourses, the article approaches the complex living environments of people of Yugoslavian origin in Germany, which are characterised by inclusion and exclusion.
