Summary/Abstract: This article examines the specific social stratum of the Sons of Jobagions in Liptov during the second half of the 13th century. Based on a systematic study of the charters of Kings Andrew II, Béla IV, Ladislaus IV, and Andrew III, it out lines the motives and mechanisms for granting this status, which was linked to military merits and the strengthening of loyalty. The article analyzes sources from 1262 – 1300, with particular attention paid to the role of the heads of Zvolen County in promoting individuals and implementing royal decisions. It also briefly surveys the existing historiography and proposes directions for further research in the early 14th century. This research offers a new perspective on the interactions between various social groups in Liptov, royal power, and region al elites, mapping shifts between strata and examining the circumstances and motives behind them.
