Summary/Abstract: This paper analyses selected institutes of the law of obligations and inheritance law that may serve as general instruments for the protection of the rights and needs of older persons. The focus is primarily on the lifetime support agreement, the contract on the transfer and distribution of property during one’s lifetime, wills, as well as the institutes of compensation for damage and consumer protection.
