„May the deep forest forever rustle for him...” Linguistic form of obituaries in hunting press (2019-2023)

Summary/Abstract: „Łowiec Polski” (Polish Hunter). The aim of the analysis was to identify, describe, and analyze formulations that distinguish theexamined texts from those published in media targeted at a broader audience. As a result, it was demonstratedthat these obituaries are characterized, on the one hand, by the presence of conventional phrasesand expressions such as „with deep regret”, „plunged into sadness” etc., and on the other hand, by theuse of sociolect vocabulary and formulations referring to hunting customs, reflecting values cherishedby this community.
