Summary/Abstract: This paper presents a 2020-2021 study, inspired by González Davies, involving 163 students fromprimary, secondary, and university levels in Gorzów Wielkopolski, Poland. The project had two stages:seven pairs of translation students translated a children’s story using domestication or foreignizationstrategies. These translations were reviewed by a Polish philology student and assessed by 46 secondaryschool students. Winning texts were published and later read to Year 4 students (9-11 yearsold), who then indicated their preferred translation strategy. Conducted remotely, the study foundthat university and secondary school students favoured domestication, while primary schoolchildrenpreferred foreignization. The results show mutual benefits: translation students gained an audienceand publication, while younger students learned how translators shape the books they read. The studyadvocates for the involvement of stakeholders from diverse educational levels in research projects.
