Summary/Abstract: The article presents the results of our own research, which aimed to find out the levels of feelings ofdepression in the adolescents studied. The severity of depression was investigated using the MariaKovacs Questionnaire for the Diagnosis of Depression in Children CD2. The study involved 168 people, aged 11-16. The results obtained suggest that average severity of depressive symptoms predominatesin the respondents with 39.88%, followed by very high severity with 17.26% and elevated severitywith 16.67%, high severity with 12.50% and low severity with 8.93%. Low levels of depressionwere found in 8.93% of respondents. Given that depression is not a marginal phenomenon amongadolescents, it seems necessary to carry out various preventive actions to counteract the emergenceof this disease in the population of young people.
