Linguistic and cultural image of a volunteer firefighter on the material of the online chronicle of the Volunteer Fire Brigade in Skwierzyna

Summary/Abstract: The article presents an outline of the history of firefighting in Poland and contains an analysisof the content of entries on the website of firefighters in Skwierzyna in the context of the linguisticand cultural image of a volunteer firefighter. The excerpted material includes 75 entries postedin the online chronicle of the Skwierzyna Volunteer Fire Brigade in the period from 1 Januaryto 31 December 2023, including a total of 88 events. The research subject was classified accordingto 5 lexical fields: person, equipment, activities, places, events. Based on the results of the study,an attempt was made to determine the linguistic and cultural image of a volunteer firefighter.
