Summary/Abstract: This paper explores the potential of combining archival materials with immersive technologies for archaeological, artistic, and historical exhibitions, with the aim of enhancing cultural, educational, and tourist experiences. The case study was an exhibition organized in 2024 by the Ionian University in Corfu, Greece, celebrating the 200th anniversary of the Ionian Academy, the first modern Greek acade mic institution founded by Frederick North, the Fifth Earl of Guilford. The exhibition utilized immersive technologies to animate the historical attire of professors and students, demonstrating the potential of these technologies to engage local communities and tourists in historical experiences.
