Summary/Abstract: The double image of Victoria in flight, holding a wreath, is an obligatory element of the relief decoration of the triumphal arches in Rome and some honorific arches erected on different occasions in a few Roman provinces. Her figure always occupies the space above the central passage of the arches and embodies the propaganda idea of the emperor’s victories. This iconography is depicted on three reliefs from Augusta Traiana (modern Stara Zagora) which allow us to suggest there were monuments with different form, style and context, having a propaganda symbolism in this Roman city.
