JEDNO LIČNO VIĐENJE NAMAZA: SMISAO I ZNAČAJ
A PERSONAL VIEW OF PRAYER (NAMAZ): MEANING AND SIGNIFICANCE

Summary/Abstract: All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of all worlds. May peace and blessings be upon His Messenger, Muhammad (peace be upon him), his noble family, and his honored companions. The subject of this essay is prayer (namaz), its meaning, and its significance. Much has been written about prayer, and the sources are, for all practical purposes, countless. Yet, the format of this essay calls for conciseness, which presents a considerable challenge. To meet this challenge, I wish to follow the wisdom of the French writer Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, who said: “A text is not good if nothing can be added to it; a text is good if nothing can be taken from it”(Goodreads, 2025).
