Summary/Abstract: The paper attempts to provide an overview of the complex process from the perspective of contemporary interdisciplinary study and evaluation of medieval literary texts, using Dante as one of the two foundations of the literary canon of Western civilization. The system of understanding, interpretation and remediation of the Divine Comedy through the intertextual, intercultural and metahistorical context allows us, in the process of modern interpretations, to show the topicality and relevance of Dante in the era of the dominance of digital platforms, consumption of new media and technologies. In line with contemporary trends and challenges of methodological, theoretical and critical perspectives, Dante’s cultural and literary capital of transmission and reception in the era of 21st century global challenges continues to affirm its universalism and legitimizes the value of the multidisciplinary tradition in the study of his work, continuing to reveal new models of interpretation and positive reception on a global scale even after seven centuries since the author’s death.
