Summary/Abstract: The grounds for which parental rights may be terminated are limited by law, this measure being taken for serious shortcomings in the exercise of parental rights in relation to the child. The evidence revealed that the respondent repeatedly inflicted physical and psychological violence on the girl, culminating in placing her hands on the stove, which was turned on and heated, causing traumatic injuries. His attitude took the form of physical, emotional and psychological abuse and endangered the child's physical, mental, spiritual, moral and social development, bodily integrity, physical and psychological health. Bearing in mind the seriousness of the aggressions exercised on the child, as well as the psychological abuse to which she was subjected, the court considers that the minor's health and development are jeopardized, the requirements of Art. 508 and Art. 509 para. (1) sentence I of the Civil Code for the total forfeiture of parental rights (...), the respondent inhibiting a balanced and harmonious physical and mental development.
