Summary/Abstract: The rapid development of digitalization, the use of the Internet and modern means of communication have led to the registration and operation of companies taking place online. However, attempts to establish control over the Internet by governments and corporations around the world have led citizens to ethical and security dilemmas, especially regarding privacy and misuse of personal data, business security, and transparency and accountability. The aim of the paper is to research the rules on the registration of companies and their subsidiaries via the Internet and the security tools used to implement the said rules, to determine or arrive at indicators of whether the said technological achievements benefit or harm human well-being, or whether the achievements can be misused, knowing about the rapid technological development of information technologies, especially the development of artificial intelligence, and to propose solutions for the established situation. The basis of the research is based on the assumption that the risks arising from direct electronic registration are significantly greater than the possible positive effects of this type of establishment, because it is known that in businesses in which there is no strict verification of the identity of the founders of companies, the spread of the shadow economy, money laundering, identity theft and even financial terrorism easily occurs.
