Summary/Abstract: The article analyzes pay transparency mechanisms as a tool to counteract wage discrimination in light of Directive 2023/970 and their implementation into the Polish legal system. It focuses in particular on the changes introduced by the 2025 amendment to the Polish Labor Code, which covers only a small part of the requirements set out in the Directive. The publication attempts to assess the rationale behind the partial implementation of the Directive and its potential effects on the coherence of the legal system and employer practices.
